OUR HISTORY

In 1979, two colleagues met at an ASHA meeting at the Ritz Hotel in Houston, Texas. While enjoying a drink at the bar, the two audiologists – William Lee Parker and Phillip Burney – discussed the highs (and lows) of their seminar experience. Both wanted a change of pace and by the end of their meeting, they had developed the perfect seminar concept: Continuing Your Education While Enjoying a Golf Destination Resort. After a year of research, planning, and development the concept was rechristened Palm Springs Hearing Seminars, and the inaugural session was held in December 1980 to the delight and satisfaction of its founders and participants.

 
OUR MISSION

The mission of Palm Springs Hearing Seminars is:

“to provide the best seminar experience possible by offering compelling topics featuring renowned industry speakers at the most enjoyable location available in Southern California: beautiful Palm Springs.”

At each seminar, we aim to provide the highest quality lectures and presentations for our participants in hopes that they conclude the weekend having learned at least one new concept, so that they may better serve the hearing care community.

OUR GOAL

Our primary goal is to provide the best continuing education seminar available to the hearing care industry on the West Coast. We thoroughly evaluate issues that currently and continually facing industry professionals before choosing one topic for discussion during our seminar. In addition to finding compelling topics, we seek out the very best speakers and presenters to instruct.

 Our secondary goal is to create an environment where you can relax and enjoy your education!  Unlike other organizations which choose urban locales or uninviting hotels as the setting for their seminars, Palms Springs Hearing Seminars holds its events at first class desert resorts featuring celebrated golf courses, day spas, and restaurants.
